If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man then wherever you go for the rest of your life it stays with you for Paris is a moveable feast.
Wishful thinking is not idealism. It is self-indulgence at best and self-exaltation at worst. In either case it is usually at the expense of others. In other words it is the opposite of idealism.
