If I'm coming in at 4:00 in the morning and my kids have been in bed since 8:00 9:00 that's not setting a good example. The responsibility that I have kids inside my household has made me realize now that I have to be an example.

You've got to set yourself up to be as healthy as you can. The thing we tend to do is when it gets to be a bit too hard we actually opt out for the absolute worst option. For example if you're in a rush in a morning and you feel like you don't have time to make breakfast you skip it.

For example I loved English and history at school. I would have loved to have done a degree in either. But my Mom said I didn't have time for university.

My mom was a source of strength.She showed me by example that women regardless of how difficult life may get can do it all.

I am an example of what is possible when girls from the very beginning of their lives are loved and nurtured by people around them. I was surrounded by extraordinary women in my life who taught me about quiet strength and dignity.

There are old heads in the world who cannot help me by their example or advice to live worthily and satisfactorily to myself but I believe that it is in my power to elevate myself this very hour above the common level of my life.

I have a book coming out in September for example where the plot concerns counterfeiting and I had to do a lot of research on that. Or on any legal matters for example I have to do a lot of research online.

Human-rights advocates for example claim that the mistreatment of Iraqi prisoners is of a piece with President Bush's 2002 decision to deny al Qaeda and Taliban fighters the legal status of prisoners of war under the Geneva Conventions.

Things happened there that I don't think are the finest hours for anybody whether it was a journalist the legal system or in that case of the political system who would say that was an example of when Washington worked best.

I would say that IQ is the strongest predictor of which field you can get into and hold a job in whether you can be an accountant lawyer or nurse for example.

So for example if a child is labeled as having a learning disability it has very concrete consequences for the kinds of services and potentially accommodations that child will get.

Why - because as a oil and gas small business owner - I know if someone is not doing their job they should not get paid. Again leadership by example.

As for leadership I am the kind who leads reluctantly and more by example than anything else. Someone had to be on the incorporation papers as president.

If there is such a thing as good leadership it is to give a good example. I have to do so for all the Ikea employees.
