Like when I host a party. I hope my guests get along. But if not how interesting!

I hope the two wings of the Democratic Party may flap together.

Recently I heard a 'wise guy' story that I had a party at my home for twenty-five men. It's an interesting story but I don't know twenty-five men I'd want to invite ta a party.

I've done a lot of partying in my time because I didn't want to go home and I didn't know what to do.

Spare a thought for the poor introverts among us. In a world of party animals and glad-handers they're the ones who stand by the punch bowl. In a world of mixers and pub crawls they prefer to stay home with a book. Everywhere around them cell phones ring and e-mails chime and they just want a little quiet.

Beer is not a good cocktail-party drink especially in a home where you don't know where the bathroom is.

If I were running to be somebody there are a lot of easier sombodies to be. After all running against the incumbent governor of your own party in your home state is not the next logical step in a political life.

At every party there are two kinds of people - those who want to go home and those who don't. The trouble is they are usually married to each other.

You come home and you party. But after that you get a hangover. Everything about that is negative.

Secretly I'm a real big nerd. I'd rather stay home and play Scrabble than go to a Hollywood party any day of the week. And I love reading about history and watching the Discovery Channel.

Throughout out history when people have looked for new ways to solve their problems and to uphold the principles of this nation many times they have turned to political parties. They have often turned to the Democratic Party.

I think it was my study of history that convinced me that the Democratic Party was more on the side of the average American.

In every election in American history both parties have their cliches. The party that has the cliches that ring true wins.

Let's be very honest about what this is about. It's not about bashing Democrats it's not about taxes they have no idea what the Boston tea party was about they don't know their history at all. This is about hating a black man in the White House. This is racism straight up.

Although... the Chief Magistrate must almost of necessity be chosen by a party and stand pledged to its principles and measures yet in his official action he should not be the President of a party only but of the whole people of the United States.

Honor is not the exclusive property of any political party.

We want to repeal the ObamaCare tax. We want to save middle class families from European health care. And that's what we're going to do as a party and that's what Mitt Romney will do on day one.

I am not the Conservative Party's health care spokesman. I'm fond of Andrew Lansley and I strongly support David Cameron as party leader.

Decades ago women suffered through horrifying back-alley abortions. Or they used dangerous methods when they had no other recourse. So when the Republican Party launched an all-out assault on women's health pushing bills to limit access to vital services we had to ask: Why is the GOP trying to send women back... to the back alley?

I do see women voters shifting to the Republican Party and doing so significantly. And the issue that's doing this is the fear the federal government will prevail in making the Affordable Health Care Act permanent law and how that will hurt small businesses.

Voters did say 'repeal health care ' they did say 'reduce the size of government.' But not a single one of them from the tea party or anywhere said 'give tax breaks to the wealthiest.'

I don't know if there is a Democrat who necessarily doesn't believe health care is a right instead of privilege. There is a significant between us and the Republican Party on that issue.

What is at stake in the debate over health care is more than the mere crafting of policy. The issue is now the identity of the Democratic Party.
