The Viennese wash everything. Where else in the world does the government hire public servants to wash public telephone booths and the glass over traffic lights? Every time I see someone doing these things I smile like a child.
I am in fact Superman. Every morning I wake up and go into a telephone booth and change my costume and then go to work.
I loved fantasy but I particularly loved the stories in which somebody got out of where they were and into somewhere better - as in the 'Chronicles Of Narnia ' 'The Wizard Of Oz ' 'The Phantom Tollbooth ' the 'Dungeons & Dragons' cartoon on Saturday morning in the '80s.
I was always a kid trying to make a buck. I borrowed a dollar from my dad went to the penny candy store bought a dollar's worth of candy set up my booth and sold candy for five cents apiece. Ate half my inventory made $2.50 gave my dad back his dollar.
The thing that's cool about the recording booth is that it's so perfunctory so cut-to-the-chase.
The beauty of voice-over work is that maybe you come in and record once every two weeks for a couple of hours and do a couple episodes a session. It's awesome! You spend an afternoon playing in the booth and there you have it. It doesn't interfere with much.
And I love Mel Brooks. My Dad loved his movies too they're awesome the kind of thing that if you're in for ten minutes you're in for two hours.
