We would like to get to a point in our society where people really are colorblind and this message would not have to be told anymore. Unfortunately we're not there yet.
I'm not going to change the world overnight. It's one person at a time and hopefully they're people in positions of power who can help people get in those roles and really truly embrace colorblind casting.
As Michigan's voice on the Senate Finance Committee and Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee I will continue working to make sure the next generation of advanced technologies and alternative fuel vehicles are made right here in America.
