Brits and Americans have hundreds of different phrases for the same thing. Luckily it's usually a source of amusement rather than frustration. A flashlight by any other name is still a torch. My personal favourite is 'fairy lights ' which we boringly refer to as 'Christmas lights.'

There are so many things I want to do. Like I want to get an artist a musician a photographer and a bunch of dancers that I know and just travel across Africa and just film it and just see what happens. Do and learn as much as I possibly can. Luckily I have a lot more time.

I didn't grow up a theatre kid going to theatre camps. I played sports and that was my main direction. But luckily I never had to choose between sports and theatre.

I'm a mom - I'm lucky if I get to shower in the morning. Luckily nail polish stays on my toes. I've been so bad on the upkeep though.

AIDS can destroy a family if you let it but luckily for my sister and me Mom taught us to keep going. Don't give up be proud of who you are and never feel sorry for yourself.

Some old men continually praise the time of their youth. In fact you would almost think that there were no fools in their days but unluckily they themselves are left as an example.

Whatever women do they must do twice as well as men to be half as good. Luckily this is not difficult.

Luckily I think I never really wanted to be famous I just wanted to make movies.

I've become a professional failure - in order to pay the mortgage I have to remain unemployed. Luckily a disaster always seems to befall me at exactly the right moment.

We all keep dreaming and luckily dreams come true.

Luckily I don't have to buy shoes anymore because I design them! I'm off tour so I can dive in and create the shoes that I want for my line. But okay I did buy a pair of vintage combat boots because they were so beaten up - I had to have them.

I jumped off a cliff backwards for 'I Am Number Four ' which was pretty cool. I'd never done that before. It took seven takes from different angles and luckily there were no injuries. I came close though. My head nearly hit the rock at one point.

Luckily I have some amazing friends.

I love a beautiful gown on stage and luckily I've been fortunate to wear some amazing dresses.

Luckily my husband is my business partner as well as my life partner so I never had to do the heavy lifting alone literally or figuratively.

With age you see people fail more. You see yourself fail more. How do you keep that fearlessness of a kid? You keep going. Luckily I'm not afraid to make a fool of myself.
