We need to develop and disseminate an entirely new paradigm and practice of collaboration that supersedes the traditional silos that have divided governments philanthropies and private enterprises for decades and replace it with networks of partnerships working together to create a globally prosperous society.

We need new partnerships in fighting terrorism and building peace.

We need new partnerships for peace and security.

It takes more than driving to become an IndyCar driver. Gone are the days when drivers show up Friday morning and go home Sunday night. We're all integral to our partnerships commercially motorsports. We're as much champions in the boardroom as we are on the racetrack.

I have not supported same-sex marriage. I have supported civil partnerships and contractual relationships.

However saying that I totally support the concept of civil partnerships in the eyes of the law and think it a disgrace that same sex couples have had to wait so long for legal rights protection and recognition.

Corporations often partner with government after natural disasters as many companies did in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. As a rule however long-term civic/corporate partnerships are still rare .But this need not remain the status quo as many opportunities are available for such partnerships.

The sad truth is that without complex business partnerships between African elites and European traders and commercial agents the slave trade to the New World would have been impossible at least on the scale it occurred.

If you like a person you say 'let's go into business together.' Man is a social animal after all but such partnerships are fraught with danger.
