I am very excited to accept the role of Honorary Patron with Hope Air because of the national scope of the organization and the very real impact they have on Canadians who need to travel to healthcare.

Besides the healthcare bill being unconstitutional and a great expansion of federal government I think if it does not respect people's individual religious views and makes groups or individuals do things that are contrary to their deeply held beliefs there is going to be a visceral negative reaction.

Lawsuit abuse is a major contributor to the increased costs of healthcare goods and services to consumers.

Many of us believe that we need health care reform. That being said - Americans felt like they weren't being listened to. There were a lot of people across the political spectrum who said we don't want a one-size-fits-all healthcare plan.

Any health care funding plan that is just equitable civilized and humane must - must - redistribute wealth from the richer among us to the poorer and the less fortunate. Excellent healthcare is by definition re-distributional.

This is a government takeover of our healthcare system. It is the government basically running the entire healthcare system turning large insurers into de facto public utilities depriving people of choice depriving people of options raising people's prices raising taxes when we need new jobs.

The answer for healthcare is market incentives not healthcare by a Godzilla-sized government bureaucracy.

The right way to reign in healthcare costs is not by applying more government and more controls and making it more like the post office it's by making it more like a consumer-driven market.

Bahrainis are better off than many other Arabs. We have a welfare state everybody gets a salary whether they have a job or not. Electricity and food are subsidized school and healthcare are free. And we don't differentiate between Bahrainis and foreigners. We are very proud of that.

We care about jobs and the economy and healthcare and education. We care about a lot of different things.

Illegal immigration is crisis for our country. It is an open door for drugs criminals and potential terrorists to enter our country. It is straining our economy adding costs to our judicial healthcare and education systems.

One of the factors a country's economy depends on is human capital. If you don't provide women with adequate access to healthcare education and employment you lose at least half of your potential. So gender equality and women's empowerment bring huge economic benefits.
