I'm not really in the excuse business.

Today I can announce a raft of reforms that we estimate could save over 2.5 million police hours every year. That's the equivalent of more than 1 200 police officer posts. These reforms are a watershed moment in policing. They show that we really mean business in busting bureaucracy.

It's not hard to get your way when it's your way or the highway. People either follow suit or they're not around. I don't really like the sound of that 'cause that sounds like a temper tantrum. I'm just very black and white when it comes to my business. There's really no gray area.

My goal in the beginning was to buy my mother a house. Now I realize okay if I really focus and become a key player in business then I can build an empire.

In this business it takes time to be really good - and by that time you're obsolete.

I think people are used to seeing actors be wide open and desperately giving of themselves and while I do that on a movie set as much as I can it's so unnatural for me to do it on television in interviews in anything like that. I also don't find that my process as an actor is really anyone else's business.

I find myself going to places where I really have no business speaking to these people in a whole other field that I have no extensive knowledge of. But I do it very often because it scares me.

Most of my relationships were people in the business. Having said that me and Tim don't really talk that much about work. He comes into my bit of the house every so often to vent but we don't really have very high cultured conversations.

And I want to do it the right way like everybody else not just a famous figurehead that gets a job because he is a famous basketball player. I want to really learn the business.

It's wonderful to have the most important thing in the world there first thing in the morning. And especially in this business where the opportunity to think everything is about you is there every day now I really know that it isn't all about me.

Really I have to laugh because there was a whole set of stories that made me sound like the Dragon Lady you know 'tough this and tough that.' Then there is this business about 'gooey.' The bottom line is I am a pragmatic idealist.

We're not uncomfortable with it and we've already been through enough of the music business where I'm not really worried that commercial success is going to in some way - we're already past saving you know what I mean? It's too late for us.

After a while of getting jerked around you realize what the business is really made up of.

I suppose that by being absent from the music business it appeared that I just dropped out but really I never did. I was continuously working and doing various things.

I never really studied business in school. I kind of wish I had but how boring is that?

To be at ease is better than to be at business. Nothing really belongs to us but time which even he has who has nothing else.

I love making people laugh and feel good and that's awesome and special for me to be able to do that but there really is nothing like kicking ass whether it's on a major scale or whether it's in more of a dramatic fashion. Being physical and taking care of business the old-fashioned way is something that I love doing.

I can't tell anybody else how to run their life or their business but I really believe I've got a good bead on myself.

I'm someone who loves to enjoy life and tries to focus on real things and real friendships. That's why I live very simply. I'm a jeans and T-shirt kind of girl. I don't spend much time fixing myself up or trying to look cool. I live like a normal person and even though I'm in a very high-profile business I really don't let it affect the way I live.

So we really need jobs now. We have to take jobs away from other countries because other countries are taking our jobs. There is practically not a country that does business with the United States that isn't making - let's call it a very big profit. I mean China is going to make $300 billion on us at least this year.

But Apple really beats to a different drummer. I used to say that Apple should be the Sony of this business but in reality I think Apple should be the Apple of this business.

Not for nothing is their motto TGIF - 'Thank God It's Friday.' They live for the weekends when they can go do what they really want to do.
