Give a man health and a course to steer and he'll never stop to trouble about whether he's happy or not.

But if you believe in Christ and that your main goal with your life is supposed to be to honor Him and do His will then you don't have as much pressure as someone who bases all their happiness on whether they're a movie star.

Nevertheless whether in occurrences lasting days hours or mere minutes at a time I have experienced happiness often and have had brief encounters with it in my later years even in old age.

Happiness is a choice. You can choose to be happy. There's going to be stress in life but it's your choice whether you let it affect you or not.

Since every man desires happiness it is evidently no small matter whether he conceives of happiness in terms of work or of enjoyment.

Whether happiness may come or not one should try and prepare one's self to do without it.

Let us develop the resources of our land call forth its powers build up its institutions promote all its great interests and see whether we also in our day and generation may not perform something worthy to be remembered.

I remember that. I was talking to him and I said how great it would be if actors had a tail because I have animals and a tail is so expressive. On a cat you can tell everything. You can tell if they're annoyed. You can tell whether they're scared.

It makes a great deal of difference whether one wills not to sin or has not the knowledge to sin.

Motherhood is a great honor and privilege yet it is also synonymous with servanthood. Every day women are called upon to selflessly meet the needs of their families. Whether they are awake at night nursing a baby spending their time and money on less-than-grateful teenagers or preparing meals moms continuously put others before themselves.

Those who intend on becoming great should love neither themselves nor their own things but only what is just whether it happens to be done by themselves or others.

I am prepared to meet my Maker. Whether my Maker is prepared for the great ordeal of meeting me is another matter.

Every man is said to have his peculiar ambition. Whether it be true or not I can say for one that I have no other so great as that of being truly esteemed of my fellow men by rendering myself worthy of their esteem.

Thankfully due to the United Kingdom and the commitment of the Westminster government we are able to ensure that money brought in whether it be from the City of London or from North Sea oil can be pooled and directed to wherever it is needed most. I think the way things have been left after Iraq is that people won't believe the Government of the day so they have to know that lessons have been learnt and that all political parties and people whether they were for or against the invasion of Iraq have learnt lessons.

But I think it's up to a local congregation to determine whether or not a marriage should be blessed of God. And it shouldn't be up to the government.

Whether Canada ends up as o-ne national government or two national governments or several national governments or some other kind of arrangement is quite frankly secondary in my opinion.

In a clean break from the Obama years and frankly from the years before this president we will keep federal spending at 20 percent of GDP or less. That is enough. The choice is whether to put hard limits on economic growth or hard limits on the size of government and we choose to limit government.

The Federal Government should be the last resort not the first. Ask if a potential program is truly a federal responsibility or whether it can better be handled privately by voluntary organizations or by local or state governments.

But whether the Constitution really be one thing or another this much is certain - that it has either authorized such a government as we have had or has been powerless to prevent it. In either case it is unfit to exist.

In the councils of government we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence whether sought or unsought by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.

Were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers or newspapers without a government I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter.

Democracy is the only system that persists in asking the powers that be whether they are the powers that ought to be.

It is the test of a good religion whether you can joke about it.
