Even if people do wrong we're social animals so what can we do about stopping them doing the same things in future? Saying people are 'bad' or 'evil' is just an unwillingness to engage an unwillingness to try to empathise. That sanctimonious attitude doesn't help anyone.
I'm just part of a tradition of people who aren't pleased. I would never think anyone else who has the same attitude was getting it from me. I'd just think they're... sensible.
Vampires are so old that they don't need to impress anyone anymore. They're comfortable in their own skin. It's this enigmatic strength that's very romantic and old-fashioned. I think it goes back to something of a Victorian attitude of finding a strong man who's going to look after his woman.
When you pray for anyone you tend to modify your personal attitude toward him.
Madonna remains the most visible performer on the planet as well as one of the wealthiest but would anyone seriously say that artistic self-development is her primary motivating principle? She is too busy with Kabbalah fashion merchandising adoption melodramas the gym and ill-starred horseback riding to study art.
Art is for anyone. It just isn't for everyone. Still over the past decade its audience has hugely grown and that's irked those outside the art world who get irritated at things like incomprehensibility or money.
Anyone who relishes art should love the extraordinary diversity and psychic magic of our art galleries. There's likely more combined square footage for the showing of art on one New York block - West 24th Street between Tenth and Eleventh Avenues - than in all of Amsterdam's or Hamburg's galleries.
The art world is an all-volunteer force. No one has to be here if he or she doesn't want to be and we should be associating with anyone we want to.
The person who knows one thing and does it better than anyone else even if it only be the art of raising lentils receives the crown he merits. If he raises all his energy to that end he is a benefactor of mankind and its rewarded as such.
And we know there has been horrendous loss of life and suffering and we know that there is anger. Anyone who came anywhere near the general election in constituencies with a substantial Muslim population knows that.
I think I would cope like anyone copes with any tragedy. I'm sure I would be very upset for a while and then there would come a point where I would either have to stay in this place of darkness and anger or I'd have to accept that it happened.
Anger tears me up inside... My own... or anyone else's.
It's a joke to think that anyone is one thing. We're all such complex creatures. But if I'm going to be a poster child for anything anger's a gorgeous emotion. It gets a bad rap but it can make great changes happen.
My parents armed me with an amazing sense of humor and it's what you need when well it's what anyone needs in this world.
Anyone who has played the game professionally you're always taught that the ball is the most important most precious thing so when the ball hits the ground it's always a mad scramble. It's amazing how many times there is a fumble and the person who recovers it initially doesn't walk away with the ball.
I jetset around and play these songs and get to hang with some pretty amazing people then I go home to a really great farm though actually it's a disaster area of a farm at the moment. But it's certainly a blast. I wouldn't trade lives with anyone right now.
I was dating my first boyfriend in high school for a long time and we broke up before prom. I hadn't met anyone else that I really wanted to go with and my friends have always been amazing. So I went with my friends and got a million photos with them!
A lot of people fear death because they think that so overwhelming an experience has to be painful but I've seen quite a few deaths and with one exception I've never known anyone to undergo anything like agony. That's amazing when you think about it. I mean how complicated the mechanism is that's being taken apart.
I'm always amazed at anyone's interest in what I have to say.
Why has not anyone seen that fossils alone gave birth to a theory about the formation of the earth that without them no one would have ever dreamed that there were successive epochs in the formation of the globe.
Anyone who writes knows that ultimately the majority of your time is spent alone in a room with a piano or a guitar no matter what the project is.
Science and vision are not opposites or even at odds. They need each other. I sometimes hear other startup folks say something along the lines of: 'If entrepreneurship was a science then anyone could do it.' I'd like to point out that even science is a science and still very few people can do it let alone do it well.
However anyone to whom this happens should not leave his room upon awakening should speak to no-one but remain alone and sober until everything comes back to him and he recalls the dream.
And what's more I've got no need for anyone to tell me how to do it. I am not interested. You act how you want to and leave me alone to do my own thing.
I've done a lot of albums and I kinda know when I'm onto something that was inspirational for me to record and create and this was one of those projects where I really enjoyed making the album.
