We're one of the forces that causes actors to fasten seat belts before they take off chasing the bad guy in the car... or removes some of the cigarette smoking on television.

I grew up in Texas and people love their American-made muscle cars there. I grew up around people who loved cars and took care of cars and my dad's a big car nut so I learned a little bit about cars - how to love them most importantly. I think that from the time I could remember I've always envisioned myself in a vintage muscle car.

Television is such an evolving medium. When you're doing a TV show it's not like you just shoot for six weeks and you're in an editing room with all of your footage. It's like a guitar or a car you have to fine tune things. You stop doing what's not working you work on what is working and you add things that do work.

Freedom is not an ideal it is not even a protection if it means nothing more than freedom to stagnate to live without dreams to have no greater aim than a second car and another television set.

Romney is right that the Obama vision is too centered on government. But his is too centered on the promotion of business and wealth creation at the expense of everything else.

In day-to-day commerce television is not so much interested in the business of communications as in the business of delivering audiences to advertisers. People are the merchandise not the shows. The shows are merely the bait.

When you're young you look at television and think there's a conspiracy. The networks have conspired to dumb us down. But when you get a little older you realize that's not true. The networks are in business to give people exactly what they want.

One of my favorite activities as a teen-ager was to watch television over the phone with my best friend.

I find myself hoping a total end of all the unhappy divisions of mankind by party-spirit which at best is but the madness of many for the gain of a few.

I think it's brought the world a lot closer together and will continue to do that. There are downsides to everything there are unintended consequences to everything. The most corrosive piece of technology that I've ever seen is called television - but then again television at its best is magnificent.

The beauty of 'The Walking Dead' and the beauty of being on a television show for a while is that it's your backstory it's part of what you are it's what you carry with you every day.

Unless action is taken soon - unless we can display the same vision of that earlier period - we will lose the treasure of California's open space and environmental beauty.

I am an unconventional beauty. I grew up in a high school where if you didn't have a nose job and money and if you weren't thin you weren't cool popular beautiful. I was always told that I wasn't pretty enough to be on television.
