It's God's will for you to live in prosperity instead of poverty. It's God's will for you to pay your bills and not be in debt.

This time instead of moving oceans and healing planets let's get our bills in order and pay down the debt so we control our own future.

It's fun to have money but the more money I get the less interesting it becomes. If you don't have very much you have to think about it. If you are starving you become interested in food. If you are struggling to pay the bills money becomes tragically important.

Men can absent themselves from real life for their art more easily. Women are anchored into the quotidian business of getting food on the table making sure everybody's socks match the soccer gear is ready. I admire idealists but they're usually enabled by someone who holds the tether on their balloon who pays the bills and sweeps up after them.

Thirteen thousand dollars a year is not enough to raise a family. That's not enough to pay your bills and save for their future. That's barely enough to provide for even the most basic needs.

We Hoosiers hold to some quaint notions. Some might say we 'cling' to them though not out of fear or ignorance. We believe in paying our bills. We have kept our state in the black throughout the recent unpleasantness while cutting rather than raising taxes by practicing an old tribal ritual - we spend less money than we take in.

One thing about being famous is the people around you you pay all their bills so they very rarely disagree with you because they want you to pick up the check.

In the richest country in the history of the world this Obama economy has crushed the middle class. Family income has fallen by $4 0 but health insurance premiums are higher food prices are higher utility bills are higher and gasoline prices have doubled. Today more Americans wake up in poverty than ever before.

It is easier to have faith that God will support each House of Hospitality and Farming Commune and supply our needs in the way of food and money to pay bills than it is to keep a strong hearty living faith in each individual around us - to see Christ in him.

My only failure was the restaurant in Myrtle Beach. I kept it open for four years. It was in a tourist town it was only busy four and half five months of the year. But the bills kept coming all year.

Some of the things I think I learned from that were very educational as far as just paying bills - the basics in dealing with a restaurant like that. It was just life - the education involved in running the organization even on a small level.

It wasn't so long ago that I was a working mom myself. And I know that sometimes much as we all hate to admit it it's just easier to park the kids in front of the TV for a few hours so we can pay the bills or do the laundry or just have some peace and quiet for a change.
