In Britain you do your job. When you do an American TV show there is a sense of being one with the crew and there is a leadership element which was a learning curve for me because it is very different culturally. In Britain you just do it leave and say 'Thanks.'

There's a difference between knowing what's on the page in a history book and actually feeling that page have curves and valleys.

I love food and I love my curves.

Fitness is a curve. You can be Lance Armstrong or you can be really out of shape at the opposite end. People enter the curve wherever they are and then they can move up the curve by better nutrition and better exercise.

Faith and doubt both are needed - not as antagonists but working side by side to take us around the unknown curve.

'Blind Curve ' the book I'm working on now sprang from a crazy incident that happened to me last year while on my book tour. I was pulled out of my car for a minor traffic violation - an incident that escalated into my being thrown into cuffs and told I was going to jail. Except in my story the hero doesn't get off as easily as I did.

I am just at that stage of wondering where I go from here. I came into this business almost by accident but now it has become serious. What started as a bit of fun something to do other than be a model has taken on a different career curve. I have been forced to ask where that curve is going to end up.

For me beauty is valued more than anything - the beauty that is manifest in a curved line or in an act of creativity.

In life as in art the beautiful moves in curves.

First there is the bare beauty of the logs themselves with their long lines and firm curves. Then there is the open charm felt of the structural features which are not hidden under plaster and ornament but are clearly revealed a charm felt in Japanese architecture.
