Strange about parents. We have such easy access to them and such daunting problems of communication.

One of them for example which will probably haunt me more than any other is the problem of communication.

It is quite an illusion to imagine that one adjusts to reality essentially without the use of language and that language is merely an incidental means of solving specific problems of communication or reflection.

Some say that I should settle down go slower and not push so hard so quickly for such transformational change. To them I say that you misunderstand the size of the problems we face the strength of the status quo and the urgency of the people's desire for change.

In a free society government reflects the soul of its people. If people want change at the top they will have to live in different ways. Our major social problems are not the cause of our decadence. They are a reflection of it.

There are plenty of problems in the world and doubtless climate change - or whatever the currently voguish phrase for it all is - certainly is one of them. But it's low on my list.

Climate change is a terrible problem and it absolutely needs to be solved. It deserves to be a huge priority.

I remember things that happened sixty years ago but if you ask me where I left my car keys five minutes ago that's sometimes a problem.
