More than any other in Western Europe Britain remains a country where a traveler has to think twice before indulging in the ordinary food of ordinary people.

We must travel in the direction of our fear.

The more I traveled the more I realized that fear makes strangers of people who should be friends.

At each of these northern posts there were interesting experiences in store for me as one who had read all the books of northern travel and dreamed for half a lifetime of the north and that was - almost daily meeting with famous men.

More than any other setting - more than battlefields or boardrooms or a spaceship headed for intergalactic travel - I'll put my money on the family to provide an endless source of comedy tragedy and intrigue.

But for me I thought you made a record you got on a bus went out and played your shows and made a lot of money. That was the way it was supposed to go down. But there's a lot more to it than that. There are a lot of early mornings late nights a lot of traveling a lot of being away from home being away from your family.

I text a lot people because it's how I stay connected with all my family and friends when I'm on set and traveling.

My goals have changed throughout my life. At one time it was winning awards selling out concert dates selling more albums than anyone else. Now my goals are to see my grandchildren grown live a long and healthy life with my family and friends and travel the world.

You never know when some small thing will lead to a big idea. Travel is very inspirational - but it's in the ordinary that I find my themes of love and work and family.

I've been to all 50 states and traveled this whole country and 90 percent of the people are good folks. The rest of them take after the other side of the family.

Interesting things come your way but as you get older your lifestyle changes. I don't want to travel I don't want to be in a hotel room away from my family.

I really have created a family. I work with the people I love I travel with them I make films with them and I'm in an office with them. So in a weird way - I know I haven't birthed a child - I feel that I'm a part of creating a family. It's a tribe. I love that word.

And it was a great experience you know to travel the world and compete at a certain level. It teaches you discipline focus and certainly keeps you out of trouble.

The things I was allowed to experience the people I was able to call friends teammates mentors coaches and opponents the travel all of it are far more than anything I ever thought possible in my lifetime.

The traveler was active he went strenuously in search of people of adventure of experience. The tourist is passive he expects interesting things to happen to him. He goes 'sight-seeing.'

I've always enjoyed traveling and having experience with different cultures and different people. But it's also a wonderful thing to be able to benefit and enable research not only in our country but around the world.

I had rather have a fool to make me merry than experience to make me sad and to travel for it too!

Happiness cannot be traveled to owned earned worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love grace and gratitude.

All experience is an arch wherethrough gleams that untravelled world whose margin fades for ever and for ever when I move.

During my travels in Iraq Israel Gaza Brazil Indonesia Japan Europe and all over the United States I have seen and heard the voices of people who want change. They want the stabilization of the economy education and healthcare for all renewable energy and an environmental vision with an eye on generations to come.

Within 10 years it will be impossible to travel to the North Pole by dog team. There will be too much open water.

And what is liberty whose very name makes the heart beat faster and shakes the world? Is it not the union of all liberties - liberty of conscience of education of association of the press of travel or labor or trade?
