The GAO just released a report that said 22 percent of federal programs fail to meet their objectives. The truth is we don't know how taxpayer money is spent in Washington D.C. which is why I think we ought to put every agency budget up on the Internet for everyone to see.

It's hard to tell with these Internet startups if they're really interested in building companies or if they're just interested in the money. I can tell you though: If they don't really want to build a company they won't luck into it. That's because it's so hard that if you don't have a passion you'll give up.

Some of the best times I've spent in Colorado have been in the backcountry with my mom and siblings and more recently with my own kids. That is why I'm concerned to see today's kids spending more time browsing the Internet than exploring nature.
