I could write historical fiction or science fiction or a mystery but since I find it fascinating to research the clues of some little know period and develop a story based on that I will probably continue to do it.

I'm not a great science fiction fan myself. I probably feel that way about Westerns. Like I used to play Cowboys and Indians they can act out Will and the Robot.

Science fiction readers probably have the gene for novelty and seem to enjoy a cascade of invention as much as a writer enjoys providing one.

I found out about reviews early on. They're mostly written by sad men on bad afternoons. That's probably why I'm less angry than some writers who are so narcissistic they consider every line of every review even a thoughtful one as major treason.

You won't find me in a romantic comedy. Those movies don't speak to me. People don't come to talk to me about those scripts because they probably think I'm this dark twisted miserable person.

I'd like to classify my life as a romantic comedy. Unfortunately I feel it's probably more like a TV reality show.

You're an actor are you? Well all that means is: you are irresponsible irrational romantic and incapable of handling an adult emotion or a universal concept without first reducing it to something personal material sensational - and probably sexual!

I'm probably a bit romantic about it but I think we humans miss having contact with fire. We need it.

Well right now I'm very fascinated with 1920s Berlin. I mean probably the more interesting thing would be to go to the beginning of civilization or precivilization - like polytheistic times. It would be interesting to see what came before modern religion and culture - what circumstances created the environment or the need for it.

If I were going to convert to any religion I would probably choose Catholicism because it at least has female saints and the Virgin Mary.
