Los Angeles is a very magical place when you take the entertainment industry out of it. You have beautiful beaches and amazing mountains here. I'm a big rock climber. I head out into the mountains whenever I have free time. It's amazing.

Croatia is an amazing place.

Children are amazing and while I go to places like Princeton and Harvard and Yale and of course I teach at Columbia NYU and that's nice and I love students but the most fun of all are the real little ones the young ones.

I have tried to be a leader. I have tried in my role of being one of the first women at Google let alone the first woman to have a baby to really try to set the tone that this is a great place to work for diversity reasons.

Life certainly points it out to you - 'you can go this way or the other way.' You have to decide and it's a very strong decision because would you sleep well knowing that you're living in the best place but you're letting the place where you should live alone?

Yeah my dream would be to work for 6 months and then have 6 months to play just snowboarding surfing and going to cool places to listen and be alone and kinda chill out.

But we cannot rely on memorials and museums alone. We can tell ourselves we will never forget and we likely won't. But we need to make sure that we teach history to those who never had the opportunity to remember in the first place.
