Whenever something happens that makes me laugh or if I remember something in the middle of the night that I want to share I jot the experience down.

Though 'Fire and Rain' is very personal for other people it resonates as a sort of commonly held experience... And that's what happens with me. I write things for personal reasons and then in some cases it... can be a shared experience.

Something happens to us all when we experience something as a unit that doesn't occur when we're on our couches or holding our little portable DVD players.

Well I think the main message is there is more to your story. There is more than what happens between the crib and the grave and that is what I am really trying to speak to this idea that all of life is this life and that there is nothing more than what we see and experience right here on this earth.

But if somebody dies if something happens to you there is a normal process of depression it is part of being human and some people view it as a learning experience etc.

And so you touch this limit something happens and you suddenly can go a little bit further. With your mind power your determination your instinct and the experience as well you can fly very high.

If history repeats itself and the unexpected always happens how incapable must Man be of learning from experience.

Experience is not what happens to you it's what you do with what happens to you.

You've got to have a dream... if you don't have any big dreams nothing happens.

I know it sounds corny but when you follow your dreams it happens. And if it's music take it seriously.

The USDA is not our ally here. We have to take matters into our own hands not only by advocating for a better diet for everyone - and that's the hard part - but by improving our own. And that happens to be quite easy. Less meat less junk more plants.

Usually I design the lighting and when I have the physical set there I'm not good at going out loosely and saying 'Do you what you want give it to the editor and he'll figure it out.' There's really no such thing as the agony of dying. I'm quite sure that pain is shut off at the moment of death. You see something happens when the body knows it's about to go. Peptide hormones are released by cells in the hypothalamus and pituitary gland. Endorphins. They attach themselves to the cells responsible for feeling pain.

I went to medical school because I wanted to ask the big questions. Do we have a soul? Does God exist? What happens after death?

It is difficult to accept death in this society because it is unfamiliar. In spite of the fact that it happens all the time we never see it.

I am not afraid of death I just don't want to be there when it happens.

Life is hard. Then you die. Then they throw dirt in your face. Then the worms eat you. Be grateful it happens in that order.

Everybody even me sometimes had to compromise on something doing things we know to be wrong and this happens doing whatever job in the world. But a singer must have the courage of saying no.

Well I look at it like this: When you go to a restaurant the less you know about what happens in the kitchen the more you enjoy your meal. If the soup tastes good everything's cool and you don't necessarily want to know what's in it. The same thing holds true with movies.

See at a certain point it becomes cool to be boy crazy. That happens in sixth grade and it gives you so much social status particularly in an all-girls school if you can go up and talk to boys.

People always come up to me now and say 'Watchmen' is the best superhero movie ever made.' I'm always saying 'That's super cool. That's nice of you to say.' But it happens now more and more and more than it did when it first came out.

There's kind of a cool feel that happens every now and then. I guess that feel is the thing that makes the score its own score. But I don't know exactly what that is. So it's hard for me to answer that question.

Everything that's cool that happens I look at my wife and I say 'We need to enjoy this moment right here! This is really special!'

I really felt like I finally made it. Having your first fake pregnancy rumor. It was really awesome. I feel like it's part of what happens in this business but that's a real one. That's a cool one to get.
