The term 'serious actor' is kind of an oxymoron isn't it? Like 'Republican party' or 'airplane food.'

The Republican Party is not in the hands of the Jewish lobby in America as the Democratic Party must look quite often to Jewish money to finance candidates.

Here's what the right-wing has in there's no shortage of the natural resources of ignorance apathy hate fear. As long as those things are in the collective conscious and unconscious the Republicans will have some votes.

The thing about Republicans is that they don't care so much about respect but they love fear at least in others.

And I want to be able to - you know make Republicans and Democrats famous for keeping jobs in California.

I'm a Republican. I don't want to go to heaven and have to face my family up there and tell them I voted for a Democrat.

I for one am quite willing to join the 'forgive forget and move on' crowd but it does make me wonder if Evangelicals are going to sound believable when they say that they tend to vote Republican because of their religious commitments to the family.

Most Evangelicals claim to be politically non-partisan and say they only identify with the Republican Party because the Republicans are committed to 'family values.'

We have a president who stole the presidency through family ties arrogance and intimidation employing Republican operatives to exercise the tactics of voter fraud by disenfranchising thousands of blacks elderly Jews and other minorities.

In my family we were Americans we were Republicans and we were Methodists.

In light of these facts Republicans have put forth a variety of proposals to make Social Security remain solvent for future generations. But up to this point Democrats have chosen to oppose our good faith efforts and insist that indeed there is no problem.

Republican values - strong families faith personal responsibility and freedom among others - are not unique to specific subsets of the electorate. They are universal values and it is Republicans' job to remind Americans of that fact.

What I think is fair to say is that coming out of the Republican camp there have been efforts to suggest that perhaps I'm not who I say I am when it comes to my faith - something which I find deeply offensive and that has been going on for a pretty long time.

By virtually any measure the record of the Republican Majority is an appalling failure.

Pharmaceutical companies are enjoying unprecedented profits and access with this Administration. Yet the Republicans' prescription drug plan for seniors has been a colossal failure and over 43 million Americans wake up every morning without health insurance.

Republican patience with how unionism deals with the political institutions and with key issues like equality and human rights will be tested because obviously there will be a battle a day on these matters. So lets face up to all of this with our eyes wide open.

Republicans many times can't get the words 'equality of opportunity' out of their mouths. Their lips do not form that way.

The Republicans have chosen to neglect young Americans who need assistance with the costs of higher education.

There is no war on women. Women are doing well. But women are thoughtful. And what we in the Republican Party and across the country Republican Independents and Democrat women say is we're more thoughtful than a label. We care about jobs and the economy and healthcare and education. We care about a lot of different things.

It is of course further indication that a fundamentalist right has really taken over much of the Republican Party People might cite George Bush as proof that you can be totally impervious to the effects of Harvard and Yale education.

The zeitgeist is for cutting spending and balancing the budget. But I do not want the Republican Party to be perceived as putting the budget ahead of people jobs and education.

Reforming public education cutting property taxes fixing adult and child protective services and funding our budget can all occur when Democrats and Republicans engage in consensus and cooperation - not cynicism and combat.

As people do better they start voting like Republicans - unless they have too much education and vote Democratic which proves there can be too much of a good thing.

And the Republican Party especially associates the market with the idea of progress goodness family and points us toward the mall as an answer to all our personal dreams.
