I think of art as the highest level of creativity. To me it is one of the greatest sources of enjoyment.

One of the interesting things here is that the people who should be shaping the future are politicians. But the political framework itself is so dead and closed that people look to other sources like artists because art and music allow people a certain freedom.

It's my goal to make a building as immaterial as possible. Architecture is a very material thing. It takes a lot of resources so why not eliminate what you don't need as long as you're able to achieve the same result?

I would like my architecture to inspire people to use their own resources to move into the future.

I mean there is amazing amount of oil and gas and other resources out beneath the sea. It's staggering.

The environmental benefits of hydrogen are also outstanding. When used as an energy source hydrogen produces no emissions besides water. Zero polluting emissions an amazing advance over the current sources of energy that we use.

I mean there are some amazing storytelling being done on the small screen right now. That's what so cool about being in television right now. Studios networks are starting to throw more resources better writers more production values... and to be part of that is awesome.

Perhaps the best motivation for going to Mars is political. It is obvious that no single nation currently has either the will or the resources to do it alone but a consortium of nations and space agencies could achieve it within 20 years.

It's only when you're alone that you realize where you are. You have nothing to fall back on except your own resources.

Britain relative to the U.S. is a highly secular society. Philanthropy alone cannot fill the gap left by government cutbacks. And the sources of altruism go deep into our evolutionary past.

Even though I love solar and love wind like most people do I like the renewable sources they alone are not going to get America energy independent.
