I've programmed myself musically to come up with love-feeling tracks that are romantic sexy but classy all in one. And that's the challenge. Once I create that music then the lyrical content starts to come - you know the stories and things like that.

Bands are about these little relationships that make everything tick and when you create new music you're testing those relationships.

What I'm trying to do is find either existing properties or come up with properties or angles or stories which will create music drama. It's my obsession and most of all I would like to remain working in theatre. I think it's very much alive.

When I look at great works of art or listen to inspired music I sense intimate portraits of the specific times in which they were created.

You create a community with music not just at concerts but by talking about it with your friends.

It is essential to do everything possible to attract young people to opera so they can see that it is not some antiquated art form but a repository of the most glorious music and drama that man has created.

After doing 'Firefly' and moving on I always wanted to be part of a series again. I love doing films too but there's just something special about being part of the team and feeling like you're actually a part of the family and I always look to re-create that.

But when you're writing a script - for me anyway - you have to sort of create an enforced innocence. You have to divest yourself of worrying about a lot of stuff like what movies are hot what movies are not hot what the budget of this movie might be.

I think movies do play a valuable role in turning people on to the act of reading. I think that phenomenon just creates readers. At first they're going to love 'Harry Potter ' or they may love 'The Hunger Games ' but after that they're going to love the act of reading and wonder 'What else can I read?'

You're basically the sum of all the experiences you've ever had and they're sort of shaken up in you and reproduced in the things you create and that includes seeing movies.

Awards were made in Hollywood in whatever the time it was created. They're to promote each other's movies. You give me an award I give you an award and people will believe that we are great movies and they'll go to see them. It's still the same.

If the goal is to get the best artists actors and filmmakers in the world to create the best movies Hollywood does a decent job. And I think no one would disagree with me that it also makes a ton of bad movies and employs a bunch of hacks.

It's like why people read scary books or go see scary movies. Because it creates a distance. They're scared but they're not going to get hurt.

That's the biggest part of doing comics: You have to create stuff that makes you want to get out of bed every morning and get to work.

President Obama has outsourced a major portion of the U.S. space program to the Russians. That's national policy. Taxpayer money. So let's stop playing games with this outsourcing distortion and talk about the fact that when we need is a president that knows how to manage big enterprise and create jobs.

The process by which banks create money is so simple that the mind is repelled.

For a successful entrepreneur it can mean extreme wealth. But with extreme wealth comes extreme responsibility. And the responsibility for me is to invest in creating new businesses create jobs employ people and to put money aside to tackle issues where we can make a difference.

To fulfill a dream to be allowed to sweat over lonely labor to be given a chance to create is the meat and potatoes of life. The money is the gravy.

We go to school to learn to work hard for money. I write books and create products that teach people how to have money work hard for them.

Whether it's a 16-year old girl or a mom or a guy or anybody as long as they come up and they're excited to meet me 'cause they've had some sort of relationship with something I've created it's the coolest thing ever. It never gets old. It's awesome.

On Monday mornings I am dedicated to the proposition that all men are created jerks.

Punishment is now unfashionable... because it creates moral distinctions among men which to the democratic mind are odious. We prefer a meaningless collective guilt to a meaningful individual responsibility.
