People were being so mean as a result of my ability - a gift really. So I think that's what makes me fight harder to provide an option to aspiring kids or artists. I wouldn't want anyone to go through what I went through... to see a little girl or a little dancer experience such unnecessary rejection.
I wouldn't go up on a stage now if you paid a thousand dollars for one minute of acting. It's a nasty experience. You're up there all by yourself. You're so damn exposed.
I wouldn't say I'm a very original thinker but if I have a good experience with something I'll want to take it further or adapt it in some way.
I would love to work in America. I wouldn't love to live there but I'd love to experience working there.
Very often I've known people who wouldn't say a word to each other but they'd go to see movies together and experience life that way.
Imagine a judicial nominee said 'my experience as a white man makes me better than a Latina woman.' Wouldn't they have to withdraw? New racism is no better than old racism.
I don't think I've ever worked so hard on something but working on Macintosh was the neatest experience of my life. Almost everyone who worked on it will say that. None of us wanted to release it at the end. It was as though we knew that once it was out of our hands it wouldn't be ours anymore.
It wouldn't be fair to say that conservatives cherish property the way liberals cherish equality. But it would be fair to say that the takings clause is the conservatives' recipe for judicial activism just as they say liberals have misused the equal protection clause.
There are nuclear weapons in China Iran Korea and Pakistan. It wouldn't take much to send a couple of warheads off on this planet somewhere that would cause a lot of environmental damage then if you have got someone who wants to retaliate you have real problems.
If the federal government had been around when the Creator was putting His hand to this state Indiana wouldn't be here. It'd still be waiting for an environmental impact statement.
They basically said that if I didn't show up for school they'd mark me present they wouldn't send the truant officer after me. At 16 I enrolled in something called continuing education. Once a month I'd go out to Jamaica but I didn't take it seriously.
Whatever education I got was from experience and reading. But I also realize I wouldn't pass my friend's sixth-grade class.
And they were writing scripts where Christine had hit the glass ceiling. And I always thought Christine would never hit the glass ceiling. I thought her dreams would take her. Maybe her dreams wouldn't take her where she wanted but she still had her dreams.
My parent's divorce and hard times at school all those things combined to mold me to make me grow up quicker. And it gave me the drive to pursue my dreams that I wouldn't necessarily have had otherwise.
I still indulge in a glass of wine or chocolate - treats are mandatory. Without deviating from the day-to-day healthy diet once in a while it wouldn't be sustainable for me and that's what I wanted: an approach to eating to last my entire life.
My particular aesthetic of light and color and design wouldn't change as a result of working with computer graphics rather than with slit scan or miniatures.
What I've learned from different designers is that it's key to be true to who you are and your vision. That's always been my line of thinking. Working through the whole design process I don't want to create something I wouldn't be proud to wear.
I wouldn't feel satisfied being on set every day doing a romantic comedy - I'd be bored to death.
I wouldn't tell you anything about anybody I cared about because it becomes entertainment for other people and it sort of just cheapens everything in your life. I would never tell you if I was dating anybody.
Thank God I never got in a fight. All of the jock dudes hated me but all of their girlfriends thought I was nice so they wouldn't touch me. It was infuriating to them.
When my dad was badly weakened by the flu and my mom wanted to call an ambulance to take him to the emergency room he wouldn't go unless he could shave first and change into a nice shirt and a pair of slacks.
But although Australia was also involved in the Vietnam conflict I can remember my dad telling us that if we were in Australia we wouldn't be drafted until we were 20.
I've been acting since I was 10. My dad was an entrepreneur so I guess something along those lines. I wouldn't want a 9-5 job.
That's a tough question I've been acting since I was 10. My dad was an entrepreneur so I guess something along those lines. I wouldn't want a 9-5 job.
